[New Rare BWR Debut] Complete Guide to Black Volt & White Flare – All 156 Pokémon with AR/SAR!

Set to release on June 6, 2025, “Black Volt” and “White Flare” are the final expansion packs of the Scarlet & Violet era. These sets focus on the Unova region and will feature all 156 Pokémon from that generation.

What makes this expansion stand out is that every single Pokémon will be included as either an AR (Art Rare) or SAR (Special Art Rare). The sets are expected to offer high visual appeal and strong collectible value.

In addition, a brand-new rarity called BWR (Black White Rare) is set to debut, featuring special designs that go beyond current SAR/UR cards.

Pack Types and Prices

There are two types of products in this release:

✅ Standard Packs
・7 cards per pack
・20 packs per box (¥5,800 incl. tax)

✅ Deluxe Packs
・35 cards per pack (1 guaranteed AR per pack)
・4 packs per box (¥5,800 incl. tax)

Although both types cost the same, the content differs greatly. The Deluxe version is especially appealing for collectors due to the guaranteed AR.

Key Cards Revealed

As of now, the following cards have been confirmed or heavily anticipated:

✅ Reshiram ex, Zekrom ex, and Kyurem ex return with powerful illustrations
✅ Victini will appear as a new AR card
✅ All 156 Pokémon will be AR or SAR versions
✅ New Supporter and Trainer cards are also expected (details pending)

Reshiram and Zekrom's art is rumored to be part of a connected illustration, boosting collector interest even further.

Anti-Weight Searching Measures

In recent expansions, The Pokémon Company has been actively implementing anti-weight search mechanics. Black Volt and White Flare are likely to follow this trend.

✅ Deluxe Packs are too heavy and uniform for typical weight-based searching
✅ Standard Packs now include holo-processed Trainer cards, reducing weight gaps
✅ Past expansions show similar adjustments to ensure fair distribution

We plan to publish a weight analysis and test results after the launch, so stay tuned.
